The MALT Donkey is born...
The name began when our founder and his kids made the “Wonky Donkey Ginger Beer” during school holidays, inspired by their favourite nursery rhyme. That playful project led to a family theme of Wonky Donkey labels and even a tiny publishing venture. When our founder set up a home malthouse and brewery in the old stables in the backyard, the it was launched under a new banner "The Malt Donkey", carrying forward the family livery and story while marking the beginning of a serious venture into fine ales and malt.
